Do your New Years Resolutions include keeping your significant other happy and healthy? Well, I have great news for you: Have more sex.

That sex is good for you is a universal truth. For those doubting minds, we let science do the talking: Studies show it reduces stress, improves mood, burns calories and can prevent cellulite in women. Meaning sex is an extremely effective formula for the woman wanting to look and feel good. Obviously healthy lifestyle habits such as eating well, and normal exercise provide long lasting results, but, the results these provide are augmented when combined with safe (condoms anyone?), pleasurable sex.

Sex can be a good exercise for beauty. In fact, making love cleans pores, helps burn calories and keeps her hair soft and shiny. The reason? Sexual activity produces estrogen. When women make love, twice the amount of estrogen is produced, this being the hormone that keeps skin soft and gives shine to her hair. And estrogen can slow-down the process of osteoporosis and may protect against hypertension. It can even help in preventing cellulite because sex improves circulation of lymphatic fluid in the body. The lymphatic system is responsible for eliminating bacteria, toxins and other substances that accumulate in the body, especially in the thighs. Who knew??!!?

And sex not only helps her physically but emotionally (clean sex is always recommended, i.e., make good use of condoms). Sexual activity releases endorphins, which, as they circulates through the bloodstream, produce a pleasant sensation of euphoria and well being. Sex can make you laugh. Yes, sex can be good for depression. Oh and frequent sex makes lips kissable. It gives them color, a better shape and appearance.

So there you have it. Have more sex. She’ll love you for it! Who ever said too much of a good thing is bad?

Parker, manufacturer of fine writing instruments, has recently released the Parker 5th, a new ink technology that they claim will revolutionize the way we write. The tech is being used in the all new Parker Ingenuity collection.

Founded in 1888, the Parker Pen company has a rich heritage of pen innovation and the Parker Ingenuity Collection builds on the trend. It’s not a fountain pen like the Parker 51. However, it does have a handsomely engraved metallic hood in a shape of the traditional FP nib that holds a refillable in place and one that gives the pen a sophisticated look – without looking to ostentatious – while also being functional, as its designed to give the refill the flex you are want. After your initial strokes, the pen acclimates to your writing style.

Many won’t upgrade their daily writer for fear that an upgrade means dealing with an inky mess. The 5th is clearly targeting that specific demographic with their clean disposable inserts. But the big secret to its appeal however is the way it writes: A light stroke creates a fine line but a firmer stroke a thicker one. The Parker 5th incorporates the buttery smoothness and precision of a rollerball, the ease and longevity of a ball point, and the smudge-free, and the fluid experience of felt point, in a very attractive, modern body (with 6 beautiful finishes) and that, my esteemed modern brethren, is revolutionary.

What do you think? Would the Ingenuity be a fine addition to your writing arsenal? Would you gift it to someone? ‘Like’ Parker on Facebook and let them know how much you love it.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of LG DoublePlay™ for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

“Two are better than one, because a better reward awaits them” says the old proverb. LG may have had that in mind when they designed the LG DoublePlay™, a dual-screen 4G smartphone that runs on the T-Mobile network.

Why two screens? Well why not! You can get more stuff done, and that’s the point LG is trying to make. Designed for the socially adept, this double-screened device has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and two touch screens, which means your fun doesn’t stop for a text, a tweet, or to surf, stream, or share. You can do it all at the speed of 4G. Need to text a group of individuals simultaneously? Send a Group Text™ and create reply-all groups with your friends. Everyone can see each other and send messages back and forth, all at once. Additionally, Cloud Text™ keeps you in the know by syncing and storing texts from your phone and PC on the web.

Enjoy facebooking pics? The LG DoublePlay™ also comes with a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recorder, allowing you to capture and share pictures and videos via messaging, email or Facebook. And since it runs Android™ 2.3 (Gingerbread), you can access tens of thousands of Apps on the Android Market. Oh, and its TV friendly, meaning you can take live and on-demand TV with you with T-Mobile® TV.

Know a super-texter? Think this device can change the way they text or interact in their Socialsphere? LG is betting two screens are better than one. And based on my experience, two-for-ones are rarely bad deals.

Farmers Almanac says this winter we can expect “clime and punishment,” a season of unusually cold and stormy weather. For some parts of the country, that means a frigid climate; while for others, it will mean lots of rain and snow. Thank goodness for the Sorel 1964 Premium T.

Sorel knows how to keep your toes-sies dry and toasty. These aren’t your childhood galoshes. Originally designers of boots for explorers craving to comfortably and boldly go into the great cold unknown, SOREL has been creating footwear for the fearless since 1962. Leveraging that experience, they now create footwear that is fashionably bold, unapologetically daring and beautifully brave. Luxurious materials and flawless construction are crafted into designs that challenge, invigorate and surprise.

Chippewa Logger

This season, the legendary 1964 Pac boot lives on in rich full grain leather. But don’t be fooled by its handsome looks—it’s just as rugged and durable as the classic utility boot it was inspired by. Seam-sealed, completely waterproof, and incredibly warm, the full-grain leather upper and handcrafted rubber shell are lined with a 9mm recycled felt InnerBoot for a temperature rating down to -40° below zero. Should the need arise, the InnerBoot can be easily removed and washed to keep boots feeling (and smelling) like new. And where the rubber meets the black ice and snow-covered road, a low-profile herringbone outsole provides plenty of grip when the going gets slick.

For those looking for something a little more rugged, there is the Chippewa Logger, by Chippewa Boots. Developed for the Lumberjacks of the great upper Midwest back in 1901, these styles are not only worn by the logging industry but by men that perceive this silhouette to be the ultimate in a rugged outdoor wear.

Available at Dave’s New York from $119-$179

We all know that too much sunlight to the eyes can have serious detrimental effects on our vision, so it is essential to protect your eyes when you’re outside with sunglasses – good looking sunglasses.

Sunglasses aren’t just functional, they ‘re the ultimate stylish accessory. They provide the wearer with a touch of sophistication, mystery and charm. There are a plethora of styles and brands to choose from. How do you choose the right pair?

On a previous post we mentioned how to choose sunglasses by face type. But your skin color also must be taken into consideration. For instance:

If you have warm skin tones, such as yellow/golden, black or orange-esque undertones, then choose frames that are red, orange, gold or brown.

If you have cool skin tones, such as white or brown with pink undertones, choose frames that are black, blue, brown, pink or silver.

Hugh Jackman sporting Ray-Ban 3309's

One of our favorite brands of sunglasses is Ray-Ban. It has spent over seventy years mastering the art of great eyewear. Some of Hollywood’s hottest stars wear Ray-Ban sunglasses, which might be why they’re so easily recognizable. Of course, there’s another reason why Ray-Ban sunglasses are so popular … they’re awesome sunglasses! Introduced in 1937 with an aviator style (the renowned and iconic Ray Ban Aviators), Ray-Ban Sunglasses were initially designed for the U.S. Air Force. It has since offered more fashion-forward, modern styles and designs, all emphasizing quality, function and comfort.

Ray-Ban’s motto “Never Hide” encourages users to be themselves and be bold. There is no reason to hide behind those Ray-Bans. Not only does Ray-Ban’s motto encourage users to be an individual, their sunglasses guarantee the maximum certified protection, according to European and American regulations. They are made of the highest quality materials and are uniquely effective at providing excellent vision. Ray-Ban has excellent light transmission and offers 100% anti-reflective lenses and serious protection against blue light that can be hazardous to the eye.

Ray-Ban’s classic designs and high-tech lenses will not only protect you but will keep you looking hot all year round. If they are good enough for Wolverine, they are good enough for us!

Monaco meets all the requirements of the unique destination trip, a place that teaches how others enjoy life. Located at the foot of the Alps and bathed by the waters of the Mediterranean, the city of Monte Carlo is the epitome of European luxury, a destination so ingrained in the collective imagination that it may seem more myth that reality. Perhaps the reason are its ultra-luxurious shops, casinos and its marina, the quintessential backdrop used in many many films, television and glossy magazines.

Monte Carlo is a small town that is home to just 30,000 inhabitants.
As far as mens watches go, no other mechanical timepiece will match the Ulysse Nardin Perpetual Calendars with Dual Time functions – 5.3 cm3 of mechanical excellence protected by 3 patents :

Patent No. CH680630 – Quick setting mechanism

Patent No. CH685965 – GMT± the ultimate travel watch

Patent No. CH688671 -Oversized date display

For mechanical perpetual calendars evolution seems to have ended some 200 years ago with Abraham Louis Breguet. Since that heroic époque, watchmakers have contented themselves with new interpretations of those wonderful past inventions. Then came Dr. Ludwig Oechslin… Anthropologist, scientist, university professor and master watchmaker all in one. Ludwig is known for his ability to provide the most practical solutions to the most complex challenges with the simplest strokes of genius.

Ulysse Nardin’s Perpetual Calendar with Dual Time function represents the world’s most functional perpetual calendar. In the history of this complication, the GMT± Perpetual is the only watch to offer users the ability to correct instantly all of its calendar displays using only the watch crown – and should you advance the date too far forwards or should you travel to a westbound time zone, it is the only perpetual calendar that allows you to simultaneously turn all calendar displays backwards.

What is a Perpetual Calendar ?

All systems have their idiosyncrasies. The problem lies in our need to divide the true solar year into equal units of time. The true solar length of a year is 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 46 seconds. With the Gregorian calendar, every four years we have a significant overage of time. This excess is compensated for by the addition of February 29 on leap years – but because February 29 actually overcompensates for this discrepancy, every 100 years it is omitted. Thus, because this is, in turn, slight under compensation, the leap year is left in the calendar every 400 years. Perpetual calendars not only provide all calendar information, but they are pre-programmed to automatically correct for 30/31-day months, the 28 days in February as well as for the extra day during leap years.

How it works

Look at the dial of any Ulysse Nardin perpetual calendar and your mind will quickly embrace the pure systematic logic of its displays. The day of the week is situated in an aperture just to the left of the centrally-mounted hour and minute hands, while the month is located in an aperture to the right. The two-digit year is displayed at 6 o’clock and the instantaneously jumping big date mechanism is located in two separate apertures at 2 o’clock. The home time indicator is centrally-mounted and is read from an arrow indicator against a 24-hour chapter ring at the perimeter of the dial. The pushers at 4 and 8 o’clock control the GMT-local time indicator. Press the pusher at 4 o’clock and the watch’s main hour hand will leap backwards. Press the opposite pusher and it will advance at one hour increments per push. In scenarios where you set the local time backwards and the hour hand crosses midnight, all the perpetual calendar information will correspondingly leap backwards by one day. Which means, if you are on a westbound flight that departs just after midnight on New Year’s Eve, as you readjust your watch time, the day, date, month and even the year indicators will roll back. What this also means is that, wherever you are in the world, you can adjust your watch to local time without removing it or even looking at it – using the plus/minus pushers yourwatch will automatically ensure that all calendar information is correct.

The Program Wheel

The heart of each Ulysse Nardin perpetual calendar is a four level wheel called the program wheel. This masterpiece of epicyclical gearing sits between the 24-hour wheel and the watch big date mechanism. The program wheel is activated daily by a unique tooth of the lower 24-hour wheel to advance one notch of the date wheel. The three long teeth of the upper level of the 24-hour wheel activate the program wheel to advance the additional notches of the date wheel: in months that have only 30 days and not 31, at 9pm on the last day of the month the date will change from 30 to 31, at midnight the date will instantaneously change from 31 to the irst of the new month. On February 28, at 9pm the date will change to 29, at 10pm to 30, at 11pm to 31 and at midnight it will instantaneously leap to the irst day of the new month. During a leap year, on February 29 the date will change to the 30th at 9pm, at 10pm to 31 and at midnight to the 1st day of March. The big date mechanism of the movement directly engages and turns the months which in turn engages and turns the lower digit year indicator which in turn engages and turns the upper digit year indicator, all using gearwheels – flawless.

Dual Time Functions

There are 24 time zones on Earth so that each region of the world can optimize daylight hours and rest during night hours. These 24 zones were established in 1884 when the President of the United States met in Washington D.C. with 41 delegates from around the world for the International Meridian Conference. It was decided that the prime meridian line would be drawn lengthwise across the globe passing directly through the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, England. The starting point for civil time would be Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The Earth was then divided into sections of 24 time zones deined by longitude.

“BECAUSE PERPETUAL CALENDARS TRANSLATE COMPLEX MATHEMATICAL RELATIONSHIPS INTO VISUAL REFERENCES, THEY ARE ESSENTIALLY ABOUT THE THEORY OF MATHEMATICS. THEY ARE ABOUT CREATING PROPORTIONS, FINDING UNITIES AND REPRESENTING REALLY COMPLEX NUMBERS THROUGH THE RELATIONSHIPS.” – Ludwig Oechsli

Local Time And Home Time

The problem with traditional watches that display only one time zone is that you have no reference to the time in your home city when you travel. A frequent traveler needs to be able to read local time (time at his current location) as well as home time (time in his home city). Local time display allows him to function within the work day of his new location. However without a display for home time, should he need to call his own office or even telephone his wife, he is dependent on his ability to add or subtract the correct number of hours to determine the time at home.

Evolving Style

For Ulysse Nardin’s 150th anniversary, the Master of Innovation created the Perpetual Ludwig, the 1rst perpetual calendar in watch history to allow forward and backward adjustments of all calendar displays. Another 1rst was the GMT±Perpetual, launched in 1999 including dual time functions in addition. Introduced in 2005, Ulysse Nardin’s Quadrato combines all of the technical might of the manufacture’s GMT± Perpetual Calendar mechanism and places it inside of the most contemporary case designs.

The time of year is upon us when we have to limit our sneaker usage. We stow away our custom New Balance US574′s, our beat up pair of Vans and break out some more durable options. Even though they are approaching the two-hundo mark, the 12/67 3 Eye Chukka from SeaVees is exactly the kind of option we’re looking for. Drawing inspiration from The Graduate, SeaVees took the classic Chukka and basically broke them in for you. They’re unlined and deconstructed so they won’t feel stiff and rip up your ankles like an old school pair of roller skates, and the outsole is crafted from genuine plantation crepe (uhm, that’s fancy talk for “they’re soft”). Careful, they may make you cougar bait, just like Dustin Hoffman. $165

Short of walking in on your significant other doing unspeakable things with another dude, there’s no foolproof way to know if she’s cheating on you. But there are clues — thing is, you probably don’t notice any of them.

But there are two guys who do — in fact, it’s their job. Between them, Christopher Paoletti, president of Infidelity Investigations LLC, and Tony DeLorenzo, co-author of The 28 Tell-Tale Signs of a Cheating Spouse, they have about 45 years of experience hunting down cheaters. So we asked them to tell us what sort of behavior is a tip of that a woman might be cheating on you.

1. She doesn’t want foreplay anymore.
Quickies here and there are great, but if she’s always eager to get started, something is up. After all, few women can really get into sex without foreplay. So a woman who consistently just wants to cut to the chase probably means one thing: “She just wants to get sex over with,” DeLorenzo says. Well … sex with you, anyway.

2. She tells you even more than usual about her day …
If you were cheating, you might be even more vague than usual about your day-to-day schedule. Well, women tend to take the opposite approach: They try to cover up their tracks by sharing even more information than normal. “She’ll tell you lots of details about her day so you won’t wonder what she’s been up to and get suspicious,” Paoletti says. Of course, she’s leaving certain things out.

3. … while rifling through her bag.
When he was working on his second book, Warning Signs, DeLorenzo researched how body language can tip you off to a cheater. What he found: If she puts her hands in her pockets, touches her face, or pokes around in her purse for something, it’s a dead giveaway that she’s pulling one over on you. “They’re all signs of nervousness,” he says.

4. She stops texting as much.
At first you may not even notice when she starts to lay off the Blackberry — but when you do, it may be time to worry. “Women who text a lot don’t just suddenly stop,” Paoletti explains. The more likely scenario: Her thumbs are still getting plenty of exercise, but not when you’re around since she doesn’t want you to ask who’s on the receiving end of all those texts.

5. You never feel as though she’s nagging you.
A woman who doesn’t mind raised toilet seats and has no issue with prominently displayed Star Wars paraphernalia? Sounds like a keeper. But if those things used to bother her and don’t anymore, it may be because she no longer has any intention of keeping you. “When she stops nagging, it means she doesn’t care about the relationship anymore,” DeLorenzo says. So, uh … enjoy it while it lasts?
