The Nike + Shield LunarEclipse offer maximum cushioning where runners need it most: under the toes. The firmer foam cushioning system called Lunarlon has been cut under the front foot, which increases the thickness of a softer foam to provide soft landings, reduced weight and improved flexibility.

The dynamic midsole support system  gives you support when you need it during the race, regardless of the type of runner you are. The wedge-shaped foam helps to limit excessive pronation without adding the weight and stiffness of a reinforcing usual means. In addition, the clip in the floating heel wraps the sides and bottom of the foot to reduce excessive twisting in or out, which helps correct pronation and supination.

The midsole has a lower profile so that the foot remains in contact with the surface, and the greater flexibility of this shoe lets you enjoy a more natural feel and relaxed during the race. Unlike contratacones rigid clip floating support in the heel of this shoe allows the midsole to bend when you land on your heel, so you get very smooth transition to the midstance phase between one step and another.
