Invicta Watch Group was founded in 1837 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland by Raphael Picard. The brand name comes from the Latin word Invictus, which means “invincible.” Currently the company is headquartered in the United States and management is still comprised of descendants of the founding family. Invicta designs the timepieces and manufactures them in Switzerland, Japan and more recently the United States, at its headquarters in California. This is indicated on each model as Swiss-Made, Movement Japan or Made in USA, respectively.
